The PHPClasses site blog was launched. It is the Web version of the site editor monthly newsletter. Past newsletters were republished in this blog. The blog commenting system was implemented with moderation and forum or thread update e-mail notification support. The trackback system lets the site keep track of posts about this blog on other blogs. Allowing the site users to have their own blogs using this system is being considered. The way the blog system was built is described at the end.

Hello,

This month I would like to talk to you about methods to develop PHP applications and components in a way they can be useful and raise the interest of more other developers and members of the PHP community.

Over time, many PHP developers have submitted their packages to the PHPClasses site. The complexity of the packages can vary from the very simple to the very complex.

Hello,

I am continuing to work on tools to develop the upcoming package of paid services for the users that are interested in the new planned services, so there are only a few new things in the PHP Classes site to talk about.

Hello,

This month the work in the PHP Classes site has been so intense, that I almost missed sending the monthly editor newsletter that I promised last month.

- Site access problems

First a note about the problems with the server this week. On Tuesday there was a power outage in the data center in San Diego where the site server is hosted. As far as I could understood, the emergency systems failed to respond properly.

Hello,

As you may be aware, today, June 8, is the 10th anniversary of PHP. I will not repeat what many have already said about the meaning of PHP for all of us that work, live and breathe PHP almost on a daily basis.

I will just drop you a pointer to this site that aggregates feeds to many blogs of PHP developers, in case you do not know it already. If you have a PHP related blog that is not listed here, feel free to submit to this site:

Hello,

Do you have your own blog or do you post in other blogs about the classes you or somebody else has submitted to the PHP Classes site?

If so, please contact me privately sending a message to info@phpclasses.org so you can help testing a new feature of the PHP Classes site that is meant to give exposure to blog posts or articles posted in other sites about the classes posted in the PHP Classes site.

Thank you in advance, ...
